The Apollo 10 Lunar Module Is Still Airborne

I discovered today that the Ascent Stage of the Lunar Module (LM) from Apollo 10 is still airborne. It follows a heliocentric orbit (an orbit around the Sun). Neil and Buzz would have watched this LM closely while they prepared for their Apollo 11 Moon landing. Isn't it wonderful that this machine is still in space?

The power will probably be exhausted, which rules out the possibility that NASA could still receive telemetry data. And for all we know, the hull could have been ruptured by a meteor strike by now. But Apollo 10 is still, technically, a NASA mission.
